(952) COL Rockies vs (951) SDG Padres
Pick: Take Under
Analysis: No team is hotter in baseball than the Colorado Rockies and they got their wish with a win over Arizona on Sunday coupled with a San Diego loss to force today’s playoff game. The Padres have to use their Ace, Jake Peavy who has held Colorado to just two earned runs this season in 14 innings. Peavy has allowed just six total eared runs in his last 28 2/3 innings. Josh Fogg goes for the red-hot Rockies and he’s coming off a fine 6 2/3 inning performance against the Dodgers where he allowed no earned runs. Expect this game to be played close to the cuff and all pitchers will be available here. Go with the under in the “Humidor” this Monday!!!

Well, we didn’t do so well this week but we’re still above .500. It’s only Week 3 so I’m still optimistic. Here are the results for Week 3′s picks:

I know it’s a bit early but the lines are out and I don’t think these will change that much during the week. So here are Week 3′s picks:
Under 46+ Pattern (1-1-1, 50%):
IND @ HOU Under 48
CIN @ SEA Under 50
TEN @ NO Under 46 (added)
13+ Point Underdogs (0-0-0, 0%):
BUF +16
7+ Point Home Underdogs (2-0-0, 100%):
NO PICKS
The NO @ TEN line could go up to 46 which would make it a pick for the

Man, that SD-NE game didn’t go as I expected at all. When I saw the 24-0 score at halftime I knew that was it for the under. And wow, how about the Cleveland Browns? I still can’t believe they put up 51 points to beat the Bengals. Anyway, here are the results for the Week 2 picks:
Under 46+ Pattern (0-0-1, 0%):
IND @ TEN Under 46 Won
SD @ NE Under 47 Lost
13+ Point Underdogs (0-0-0, 0%):

Well, here we are again testing these potential pro football patterns. Here are the games to look at for Week 2, with these lines again taken from my local sports book:

Well, we only had one pick for Week 1 and it turned out to be a push. Hopefully we can get going in Week 2. Here is the result for Week 1:
Under 46+ Pattern (0-0-0, 0%):
NO @ IND Under 51 Push
So our record for this pattern (and overall) is now 0-0-1. Check back later for Week 2 picks. It looks like we have a couple.
EDIT: The line went up to 52 or 53 later so this pick would’ve been a winner

So here we go. These are the games that count. We’ve been waiting for this for a while now so let’s get started. There are basically three patterns I wanna follow during the regular season.
Here are last year’s stats for the following patterns according to covers.com:
When the total is 46 or higher: 7-19-1, 73.08% Under
When the spread is 11 or more: 8-15-0, 65.22% Underdog covers
