(972) TOR Blue Jays vs (971) SEA Mariners
Pick: Take (972) TOR Blue Jays
Analysis: At first glance, the Blue Jays Dustin McGowan has seemed to struggle of late. Not only has he lost his last three decisions, but the team has lost four straight and five of his last six starts. However, McGowan has been a pillar of consistency this season, even during this streak that has seen his club losing his starts. Overall, the young right-hander is 5-2 at home with a nice 3.45 era. Moreover, during this losing streak McGowan has not allowed more than three earned runs. In fact, he’s allowed three earned runs or less in his last seven starts. Miguel Batista is also sporting his own losing streak, having dropped his last two starts. However, unlike McGowan who has still pitched well, Batista has taken a beating – allowing 14 earned runs in his last eight innings of work. Consistency is important and that’s just what we get with McGowan here on Saturday. Take the Blue Jays at home.

(914) ARI D’backs vs (913) COL Rockies
Pick: Take (913) COL Rockies
Analysis: Dave enjoyed a memorable Thursday in both football and baseball. He swept his three plays on the diamond. Dave went 2-0 with his college selections, scoring easy winners on LSU and Kent State. And Dave maintained his monster pro football roll with the big win on the Titans as his Pre-Season Game of the Year. Get Dave’s Friday Solid Gold college side for just $25 and win some more. Plus, score a major FREE BONUS to boot!… “Ubaldo Jimenez is making a huge impression in his maiden voyage around the NL. The Rockies rookie has been mowing down the opposition and is actually exceeding expectations out of the gate. Livan Hernandez is surviving on guile and good run support, as he hasn’t pitched well enough to be 9-9. I’m going to ride the Jimenez express till someone slows it down, so the Rockies are the choice tonight.”

(908) ATL Braves vs (907) NY Mets
Pick: Take (908) ATL Braves
Analysis: A couple of strong starters on the mound, but Atlanta has home field and the better starter. Tim Hudson (15-6) loves facing the Mets with a 7-2 record and a 3.39 career ERA against them. He’s also 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA against NY this season. NY starter John Maine is 0-1 with a 10.13 ERA against the Braves this season. Play the Braves!

(140) Oregon St vs (139) Utah
Pick: Take (139) Utah
Analysis: Get set for a HUGE Thursday night as Dave releases his Pre-Season Game of the Year. This completely guaranteed winner is up now at Dave’s Sold Gold Club for only $25, and includes a dynamite FREE college bonus as well. Grab it now and win big tonight!… “Utah played really well down the stretch last season, won their bowl game and figure as legit MWC contenders this season. They did suffer a crucial pre-season loss, as talented guard Jason Boone is down for the season. But with dynamic QB Brian Johnson back to run the offense, the Utes will be just fine on the attack, and the defense should be better than it was last year. Oregon State has a talented young signal caller in Sean Canfield, and Yvenson Bernard is a great running back. But Sammie Stroughter’s absence at wideout is big and the Beavers are already down to a third string punter. The Utes are an amazing 20-4 ATS catching points the last decade, and I’ll give them the nod here.”

(910) SF Giants vs (909) COL Rockies
Pick: Take (910) SF Giants
Analysis: Hard to believe the Giants are one of the hottest teams in baseball, but it’s true, winning 8 of 10. The team is playing looser now that the Barry Bonds HR watch is behind them. Barry Zito has turned things around, as well, with a 2.10 ERA his last three starts. Colorado starter Josh Fogg has, well, he hasn’t turned things around, with a 9.19 ERA his last three starts. He’s 0-2 this season against the Giants and moves to 0-3 here. Play the Giants!
